More About Paloma

Paloma is a Capricorn, born Jan. 6th. – Practical and prudent, ambitious and disciplined, patient and careful, humorous and reserved.

Paloma played tennis, soccer and softball in high school and even did cross country one year.  After her experience with Cross Country, her new motto was and still is “Only run when chased.”

Paloma won State with Palomar College’s Softball team in 1992 where she was an All-State 2nd baseman.  She used to be fast, getting to first base in 2.4 seconds batting from the left side (even though she is right handed).  Paloma then was All Atlantic Coast Conference for two years at the University of Virginia as a shortstop.  This is where she met her future husband, Rodney, and they now have four grown kids.  Although she hates to admit it, he is the main reason why she is able to work as much as she does and stay sane.  He is her technological rock and picks up the slack or take-out when she does not have time to cook.

Paloma is fortunate enough to play goalie for women’s and coed indoor soccer teams but her new love is Pickleball.  Since covid regulations allowed court play, Paloma and her husband took up the sport in 2020.  She has never looked back, playing daily, participating in two leagues and even does occasional tournaments.

Paloma’s four children have all been in the business and she has been on set over a thousand times in the last 21 years.  If it has happened, she has seen it.  She understands the pressure, long drives and “only ifs” that go through your mind after a job or casting on the way home.  She is more than excited to communicate bookings to talent for she understands getting the “booked” text, email or phone call is the best feeling in the world.

Paloma grew up herself as a child actress and was almost “Punky Brewster”- darn Soleil!  She knows what it is like to be a child actor, to succeed and to fail.

Paloma’s favorite food is coconut shrimp, anything covered in cheese and favorite dessert is chocolate covered fruit.

Paloma has a 90 lb golden doodle named Foster.  He has anxiety and hates being away from her so he loves he gets to watch her work.

Paloma would love more than anything to have had her mom, who lost her battle with cancer in 2010, seen her start an agency with her sister.   Her mom was always the stage mom and had her in tap, ballet, jazz, modern, Mexican, Irish, and Tahitian dancing and singing and acting classes her whole life.

Paloma used to be great at Lombardi time but now feels showing up early means you are wasting time waiting for everyone else.

Paloma’s sisters were first in their class, so she always thought she was a failure for being 5th in her class.  But then again, she had her sports!

Paloma’s old dance partner is Mario Lopez (yes, that Mario Lopez with the dimples); they were friends in high school and auditioned for Saved by the Bell together.  And yes, he was fudging on Dancing With The Stars when he said he never had formal dance training!

Paloma does not have a green thumb although she wishes she did, killing every plant in her house in the past 20 years.

Paloma loves the colors blue and green and any combo of the two.

Paloma’s biggest weakness is chocolate, wine and cheese although a good margarita and chips and salsa come in close second.

Paloma is known to be “the includer” in her close circles and never wants anyone to feel left out so she invites everyone to everything.

Paloma has been known to be curt, but this does not mean she does not like you!  She is always multi-tasking and enjoys being fully vested in the company by still doing submissions and booking jobs with clients she has known for 20 years.  Industry professionals love the hard work, trust and long standing relationship by dealing direct with the owner.  Paloma likes to know her talent and their families; never are you just a number.
